Drug Treatment and Rehabilitation

Drug Rehab " treatment" is just that for the most part. Treatment. Rehabilitation on the other hand is quite different. Treatment doesn't really provide a means to an end just by definition of the word. Rehabilitation means to restore soemthing back to its former condition or better.

What you want is an inpatient drug rehabilitation program  that does just that. Restores an individual back to their former self or better condition with a new lease on life.  An addict has been acting and reacting to the conditions in life with the negative influences caused by drugs. Reversing these effects take time and the addict really has to learn how to live life all over again.

As it is known there are many kinds of modalities of rehabilitation in inpatient drug rehabs, outpatient treatment programs or counseling sessions. There are variety of other factors involved like, lenght of the program, location, staff and certainly most important success rates.

While many people feel addiction can never be overcome, and want to look at the symptoms only, and factually not all of the symptoms and " treat " them  with the various chemicals and drugs known to possibly alleviate these, but also causing other potentially more harmful effects.

If you look at ALL of the harmful effects caused by addiction, physical and mental and least out all the possibilities for areas that need addressed in both, it would be easy to see that a long term inpatient drug rehab program with a comprehensive rehabilitation approach would work best. You really have to understand the complexities of addiction in all facets to handle an addiction problem. Its really not that hard, but does take some effort, and is best done in an inpatient drug rehab setting.
